The Great BC Sea to Sky
9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS
The best way to see everything BC has to offer
Perfect for families, groups, and couples. And a must-do for keen photographers
Fly above the mountainous west coast, ride horses up to historic mines, and kayak with killer whales all in one trip.
The Great BC Sea to Sky Adventure will take you up the Sea to Sky Highway to Pemberton, and then all the way up the coast to Robson Bight on Vancouver Island for an adventure you won’t soon forget.
Day 2, 3, 4: Ride up to the historic Li-lik-hel gold mine with Copper Cayuse Outfitters
Get to know British Columbia’s Coast Mountain range from land, sea and air.
Traveling north from Vancouver your first stop is Squamish. As you board an exhilarating flight with Sea to Sky Air over the Whistler backcountry and Garibaldi Provincial Park, this is a perfect place to take out your camera.
You’ll be awestruck as you soar above areas explored only by grizzly bears, goats, eagles, and the occasional mountaineer.
This perspective, high above the mountains, provides a birds-eye-view of the regions you will be exploring over the next seven days.
Back on the ground, you will spend your first night at the Howe Sound Brewing company in Squamish.
Day 1: Sightseeing flight through the Coast Mountains with Sea To Sky Air
Early the next morning after a continental breakfast your journey takes you further inland through Whistler and up to Pemberton to start 3 days of riding.
Don your riding gear and head up onto mountain trails opened by First Nations and miners hundreds of years ago.
During the day you will develop a bond with your horse, your constant companion during this trip, as you explore remote places like the Li-lik-hel gold mine.
Each evening while swapping tales with your wranglers and enjoying the best of campfire cooking, you’ll be gazing at stars so close you can touch them.
As the peace and quiet provides a satisfying end to the day you’ll head to bed, dreaming of the next day’s adventure and your first cup of cowboy coffee.
After 3 days days mountain riding, it’s back down the Sea to Sky highway for another great night at Howe Sound Brewing.
Day 5: Hop on a ferry to Vancouver Island and explore the coastal landscape
Next morning drive to Horseshoe Bay where you board the ferry to Nanaimo.
When you disembark from the ferry, your destination is Campbell River, but consider taking additional time along the old island highway in order to stop at one of the many small towns on your way up the coast.
Day 6, 7, 8: Venture into Killer Whale Territory with a Kayak with Wildcoast
After a peaceful night’s sleep, your sea adventure begins.
Boarding a boat that will take you up the Inside Passage, you will breathe in the coastal air as you travel into the heart of Johnstone Strait where killer whales roam freely in search of salmon, their favourite delicacy.
Landing at camp, your guides will direct you to your safari tent accommodations and then provide your first introduction into ocean kayaking.
Your daily kayak trips put you into the heart of killer whale territory. Over 500 orca roam the British Columbia coastline.
In addition to gaining an appreciation of the orca’s place in nature you also will learn about the many other ocean going creatures and inter-tidal life that comprises this lively ocean ecosystem.
This area teems with wildlife, providing the opportunity to see the resurgence of humpback whales, dolphins, eagles and bears.
