Phantom Lake Explorer
Squamish’s signature floatplane tour & experience
Experience floatplane flying in the Squamish mountains
Experience the thrill of takeoff and landing on an emerald green lake in the mountains
Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime floatplane trip to an alpine beach at the base of a glacier
Swim in the lake, relax at the beach, soak up the sun, and take a short walk for photographs
Those who wander find new paths and this trip will take you on a journey you’ll never forget. Say goodbye to the busy trails, crowded beaches, and say hello to your own private floatplane tour, personal pilot, and the only way to access a scenic, untouched alpine beach high in the peaks of the coast mountains.
Phantom Lake is one of BC’s most unique experiences. On the way there (and back) you’ll fly shoulder to shoulder with million year old peaks, over ancient valleys, and through a landscape worthy of a NatGeo documentary.
After flying through the Coast Mountains you’ll land on the rich turquoise waters of Phantom Lake. Your pilot will taxi you over to the beach at the north end where you can enjoy taking photos, swimming, or just relaxing in solitude. A popular activity with our guests is to bring your own picnic for a little tasty treat or a memorable alpine lunch.
About Phantom Lake near Squamish – a dazzling, emerald green hanging lake. At one end water feeds into the lake from the nearby ancient glaciers of Mt Jimmy Jimmy and Tzoonie Mountain, while at the other it escapes via a towering cascading waterfall.

Guest reviews of our Squamish attractions
“Awesome alpine SUP. The service was excellent and as a small business owner looking to partner with Sea to Sky Air for an Alpine SUP experience they were great to work with, flexible and fun! Our clients rated this experience as one of the top adventure things they have ever done. Thanks Sea to Sky Air!!”Normh660
“My Fiance and I took the Alpine lake experience last June, and found it an amazing experience. It was our first time in a small plane, but our pilot Eric was so relaxed and knowledgeable that we felt right at ease; also a great guide for the sites all around. Really exhilarating and smooth comfortable ride. The lake itself is beautiful – got some great pics (thanks again to Eric)”Adrian O
“A friend and I flew the Alpine Lake Experience. Although they offer cheaper flights I cannot recommend enough paying the extra. The lake landing was exhilarating and the lake itself was remote and beautiful. We had a brief walk about a beach and dipped our feet in the water before gracefully taking off. A truly memorable experience.”Bret_C_Boone
