We wanted to get a bird's eye view of the peaks around Squamish and Whistler, and we definitely got that with this tour. We were a group of photographers and the pilot, David, was excellent at making sure we all got the shots we wanted. Good value for money, and a keen eye for safety made this an excellent day.
I booked this as an optional activity from my tour group (Moose travel) as we passed through Squamish on the way to Whistler.I can't recommend the experience enough. Our pilot (sorry that I've forgotten your name) was excellent, right through meeting and greeting, to our safety briefing and most importantly, the flight - the fact I'm writing this review proves we landed safely.The scenic flight lasted around twenty minutes and as it was a clear day, we were treated to wonderful views of rivers, lakes and mountains whilst being provided with excellent information on the geography and history of the area. As a little treat, our pilot offered to liven the flight up on the way back, which may have caused my life to flash before my eyes but was nevertheless an extra thrill! Thank you for a great experience.
Great experience!! Spectacular views and very friendly pilot and staff. Flight was very smooth. Even those not fond of flying in our group loved it.
Obviously a sunny day is essential for a flight like this and we were very lucky. The mountains and glaciers are spectacular and are there everyday so what makes the difference is having a pilot who can answer questions as well as giving a running commentary about what we were seeing. Our pilot, Dominic, was very familiar with the Squamish-Whistler territory that we flew over. Our friends, who went up in a flight at the same time but on a different plane (only room for three passengers per plane so a group of four requires two planes) also had an excellent tour guide / pilot. We were extremely lucky that we were able to book and fly the same day, but perhaps in the summer when it's busy you may have to gamble with the weather and book ahead.
Must do!!! We drove from Vancouver and took the plane ride to see the mountain ranges from the air. It was so worth the drive. An added bonus is the drive to the plane ride. The views are spectacular!! We were on vacation and had limited time but all of us in the group were so glad we took the time to venture out. Do it!!
