New for this year, between October 1st and October 31st 2025 groups of up to 3 can take an unforgettable 30-minute scenic flight over the lush, diverse, and wild landscape of Squamish on our local’s-only tour created for Sea To Sky Corridor residents. All flights are completely private to your group.

For only $110 each (total $330 for the plane) you and two friends will soar over the Squamish Valley into the Coast Mountains amongst ancient mountains, glaciers, valleys, lakes, rivers, fjords, and wetlands. You’ll get an up close look at the glaciers of the Tantalus Provincial park and Lake Lovely Water then into the the Howe Sound fjord, with views as far south as Gambier Island.

No need to bring locals ID, just book through this page. $330 is the price of a private plane (max 3 people at $110 each). If you wish to fly as just 2 people the total price is still $330, at $165 each.

Fly through wild regions of Squamish that most people don’t even know exist; to areas explored only by grizzly bears, goats, eagles, and the occasional brave mountaineer. On the Glacier Express you’ll get a little bit of everything from our other tours all rolled into one. Alpine lakes, jagged peaks, secret waterfalls, rumbling glaciers, and Lake Lovely Water are just a few of the unforgettable sights that will leave you awe-struck.

What is a pilot guide?

Our pilots are passionate about British Columbia, Squamish, Whistler, Vancouver and the Sea To Sky Corridor. They love sharing what they know about the region’s legendary geology and history so we outfitted every seat with a two-way headset and microphone. Think of us like your best friend taking you on a road trip to all their favourite places. Listen to your pilot tell stories as you fly, ask questions about features and landmarks, or simply sit back and enjoy the view.

What if the weather changes and we can’t fly?

If we get to the day of your flight and the weather doesn’t let us fly, no problem. We’ll reschedule your flight to another day and time that works for you, all year round.

The local’s deal fills up fast each year, so we highly recommend picking a date with your friends and booking as soon as you can.

Simple, easy and stress-free.

From the Flight

Flying over Lake Lovely Water

Lake Lovely Water

The emerald jewel of the Tantalus Range, Lake Lovely Water sits in a large rocky basin called a cirque. Shimmering glacial meltwater started pooling here at the end of the last ice age creating the incredible oasis we see today. The lake’s distinctive colour is created as light refracts through microscopic pieces of rock called glacial flour. The mountains surrounding Lake Lovely Water are made mostly of igneous granite rock, formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava.

Tantalus Provincial Park

The landscape you see has been shaped over millennia by moving continents, rising and falling mountains, vast volcanic eruptions, and continental ice sheets have all played a role in shaping the jagged ridgeline of the Tantalus Range. Peaks like Mount Tantalus, Alpha, and Omega have retained their jagged appearance because they were tall enough to poke out of the ice sheet as the glaciers retreated.
