The Sea To Sky region in Squamish has to be one of the most beautiful and diverse places in the world. We have world-class dive sites, world-famous rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking, international kiteboarding and windsurfing, and legendary fishing. Did you know this region is also the winter home of the bald eagle?
There’s a lot here that will surprise you, including the thousands of square kilometers of untouched wilderness that lay beyond the sea-level perspective.
We couldn’t possibly describe it all in words so we’re going to let these 20 photo’s do the talking.
Squamish means ‘Mother of the Wind’. The traditional spelling is Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (pronounced Squ-HO-o-meesh) in the Skwxwú7mesh Snichim language of the Coast Salish Squamish Nation.
